Hi,
My name is Linda Moore and I am the Media Specialist/Technology person at Tayac Elementary. I have been at Tayac for 18 years and have seen many changes. When I first started at Tayac there was not one computer in the school and no classroom telephones. Now the school has two computer labs, computers in every room along with a television studio, document makers, LCD projectors and video and digital cameras.
In my spare time I like to quilt, do puzzles, kayak, canoe and garden. I am an outdoor person and spend every summer tent camping, hiking and kayaking. I love to travel and have been to Europe, New Zealand, St. John's, the Canadian Rockies and various places in the United States. I hope to retire in two or three years and I plan on doing a lot of traveling.
My goals in this class are simple: to improve my computer skills and to share my skills with the teachers so they are motivated to teach differently. Since I am the media specialist, the children are exposed to integrated technology which hopefully will motivate the teachers.
